Welcome to the Roxy Hotel. Floating on an island of concrete at the intersections of Walker Street, Church Street, and the Avenues of Americans, this Tribeca boutique hotel is a beacon of American fanfare.

Filled with cast iron and a 1920s flare, the hotel’s main lobby is a 10,000-square-foot atrium, home to a stage, lobby bar, coffee bar, and dining area. Below the main lobby patrons can explore an underground jazz club, check out a movie at the hotel’s cinema, or tuck into the neon pink cocktail lounge.

Adding to the grandeur of this lobby is the hotel’s exterior corridor design, which allows hotel guests on any level to peak over the balcony into the lobby and enjoy the nightly entertainment.

During the day you can find individuals working from the lounge or game space in the main lobby as the tranquil atmosphere (and good wifi) makes it an ideal place to work from.

Great for: posting up and checking emails.

Coffee: yes, there is a Jack’s Stir Coffee Brew bar in the lobby.

Music: yes, a mixture of different types of jazz (jazz-funk, soft jazz, soul jazz)

Wifi: free wifi but it’s gated. Need to ask the bartender for the password (they change the pw weekly).

Charging access: poor, there are a few floor outlets in the main lobby space that you can tap into. The hostess stand also has power breaks you can borrow to charge your phone.

Bathrooms: yes, located behind the elevators and down the stairs (next to the movie theater).

Leave your stuff alone to go to the bathroom? yes.

Pleasure

The Roxy Hotel lobby is packed with cocktails, live music, and enough space to soak it all in comfortably. It’s an ideal spot for an afternoon cocktail.

La Piscina: no hotel pool.

Lobby Bar or Restaurant: lobby bar is named The Roxy Bar.

Menu: beer, wine, cocktails, and food (full menu).

Happy Hour: yes, oyster happy hour from 4 PM- 6 PM.

Thirsty? try the Roxy Martini (pic below). Vodka or Gin, Dry Vermouth, Olive Bitters.

Hungry? try the Kale Caesar salad. Romain Hearts, Kale, Parmesan Garlic Croutons, Caeser dressing.
