Today we venture to the city of Surfside (the northernmost town on Miami Beach island) and visit the lobby of the Four Seasons at The Surf Club.
On New Year’s Eve 1930, the doors of The Surf Club first opened. A members-only club founded by Harvey S. Firestone (founder of Firestone tires) along with his friends and fellow business moguls Carl Fisher and Irving Collins. It was a destination for the rich and famous to escape the spotlight. Notable guests included Winston Churchhill, Elizabeth Taylor, and Frank Sinatra.
Lobby layout: sprawling lounge spaces filled with suede couches and chairs, vaulted ceilings, indoor palm trees, and plenty of natural stone and brick.
The vibe: a mix of high fashion and flips flops create a unique surf glam atmosphere.
The crowd: hotel guests, beach patrons, and general visitors looking for a cocktail and a respite.

Lobby Bar or Restaurant: the lobby bar is called The Champagne Bar and claims to have the widest selection of Champagne in Maimi. Cocktail service begins promptly at noon (🫡) and ends at midnight. Food is available until 10:30 PM.
Personalized craft cocktail cart service is available at 6 PM and it’s a real treat.
Menu: beer, wine, cocktails, and food (full menu).
Happy Hour: no (🥲)
Thirsty? try the Surf Club Sling. Henricks Gin, Passion Fruit, Maraschino, Benedictine, Pineapple, Lemon, House Made Toasted Coconut Grenadine.
Hungry? try the Dry Aged Burger. Cheddar, Tomato, Lettuce, Pickled Onion, Side of Fries or Salad.
La Piscina: yes, and the white stone pool is stunning.
